Let's Flag That: Summer Break Edition is the perfect combo of ELA standards with a sprinkle of SEL. Use the concept of "Red Flags" and "Green Flags" to teach students how to create and defend their position on a topic or scenario.

In these interactive slides, students are first introduced to the concept of red flags vs green flags, and will brainstorm where they observe these flags in their world. Next, students will see a scenario and they have to decide if the scenario is a red flag or green flag and defend their answer. Some scenarios are generic, and some are summer break-esk!
