Let's Flag That: Spring Break Edition

Use the concept of "Red Flags" and "Green Flags" to teach students how to create and defend their position on a topic or scenario. 
 
Let's Flag That: Spring Break Edition is the perfect combo of ELA standards with a sprinkle of SEL. In these interactive slides, students are first introduced to the concept of red flags vs green flags, and will brainstorm where they observe these flags in their world. Next, students will see a scenario and they have to decide if the scenario is a red flag or green flag and defend their answer. Some scenarios are generic, and some are spring break-esk!
 
With 20+ scenarios to flag, examples include:
Swimming with sharks
Choosing the window seat on an airplane
Never seeing Star Wars
Talking during movies
Setting 5 or more alarms
+many more!
 
3 reflection questions at the end will get students thinking about the importance of sharing their perspectives! Have fun with your students before/after Spring Break!
