Save your sanity by giving your students a project that helps them practice characterization, gathering quotes, and analyzing.
Using any text you are reading in class, students will choose 1 character to work with. 1st, they will brainstorm adjectives about that character, and then choose adjectives that match the letters of the character's name. Next, they will gather evidence (quotes) that reflect the character exemplifying that adjective, or another character describing the character exemplifying the adjective. Lastly, students will explain how the adjective is reflected in the quote.
