You know that boring "make a powerpoint" assignment that your teacher forced you to do that you had to make from scratch? This is not one of those. 
 
Think...interactive slides that look like instagram stories to help get to know your student's VIBE!

Slide 1: Students can decorate how they please:)
Slide 2: "What are you listening to?" Students showcase various categories of songs that they love for different moments of their life.
Slide 3: "What Animal Are You?" Students take a personality quiz and reflect on which qualities of the animal match their personalities
Slide 4: "It's Movie Night" Students showcase various categories of movies that they love for different moments of their life.
Slide 5: "Dinner Party" Students choose 3 people (alive or unalive) they would love to have dinner with. They create the topics of conversation and the menu.
Slide 6: "Chat Room" Teachers, choose any icebreaker question that you find engaging. Students will ask 3 students in the class (can be in their small groups or whole class) and record the other student's answers to the question. 
Slide 7: "Dream Destination" Students will copy/paste and drag/drop a red pin to their dream destination. They will refect on their choice and why it is important to explore other parts of the world. 
Slide 8: "Create your library" Students will create their dream library of multimedia, as well as books they LOVE and don't love. 
Slide 9: Bonus collage slide if students have time:)
 
These slides take some TIME! You can make this lesson last the whole week, or 1-3 days. Choose what will work best for you and your students. 
 
Be sure to use the information you learn about your students to incorporate references into your content area throughout the year.
